You can delete your HonestLee account and your data at any time. You
do not need to ask permission, explain why, or speak to anyone.

In the app
Me → Account → Delete my account
You will be asked to confirm once. After that the deletion is scheduled immediately and cannot
be undone.
By email — if you have already removed the app
Email
privacy@honestlee.app from the address you
signed up with, asking us to delete your account.
If you cannot email from that address, write from any address and tell us the email you signed
up with — we will ask you one question to confirm the account is yours before deleting anything.
We reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What gets deleted

What we keep, and why
Two honest exceptions:
- Your reviews may remain, with your name removed. Other people rely on
reviews to choose where to eat, and venues rely on them too. If you want a specific review
taken down entirely rather than anonymised, say so in your request and we will remove it.
- Records we are legally required to retain — for example a payment record
where a transaction occurred. We keep the minimum for the required period and nothing more.
Note that HonestLee never stores card or bank credentials in the first place; payments go
through Vietnamese bank QR codes and your own banking app.
Timing. Your account stops working immediately. Personal data is deleted or
irreversibly anonymised from our systems within 30 days. Encrypted backups roll
off on their own retention cycle shortly after, and are never used to restore a deleted account.
Deleting the app is not the same as deleting your account
Uninstalling HonestLee removes it from your phone and stops all location recording, but your
account still exists on our servers. Use one of the two routes above to actually delete it.
